This story has sneaked under the radar. In our back yard too:

 

No Conservative candidate fielded in Rotherham - BBC News

 

Apparently the Tory candidate withdrew, and seemingly the Tory Party couldn't find a replacement!

I find that very difficult to believe personally, and I would've thought that there are a few people on this forum who would've jumped at the chance to stand for the Tories in South Yorkshire.

 

What about it guys?

Oh well, seeing as though you're obviously a stickler for what things are done when, you should've put your hand up and offered to stand for them in Rotherham. Tories would've had a candidate then :thumbsup:

Not a stickler mate , just putting you on the right track, again. It would easy for you to miss with all the frothing you have done :thumbsup:

The intended  Conservative candidate  withdrew at short notice shortly before the date for nominations expired. There was not enough time to find a replacement. There will have been no shortage of potential Conservatives for the Rotherham seat if the original candidate had withdrawn earlier.
