I don't know what other people think but it's not great optics for the PM to be stood in the rain like a drowned rat, announcing the date of general election, with the song "Things Can Only Get Better" blasting out in the background....

Hmm I think the Kamikwasi budget and Brexit are also factors.

 

Obviously not 100% but a large part. I think Brexit is just a lazy excuse to be honest. Plenty of EU countries are suffering inflation too because of money printing during Covid.
