Oh no , Jeremy Corbyn is in .

But when you look at the center/right parties that won seats, they took 70%+ of the vote.

I think some socialism can work and is a good thing, but if the left doesn't consider Starmer to be one of them, then they are a minority.

Sure the Conservative Party lost the election - but Labour didn't just sit there and let it happen....

Yes the Labour party under Starmer's leadership increased their vote share by 2%.

And how many more seats did the Labour Party win 175 - and the size of the swing from Conservative to Labour

That's how our system works, as well you know.

So we have a new Prime Minister and a new Government. Will there be any new ideas or will it be same old same old?

Hopefully the culture wars are over. So that's a change

I'm not implying the Labour party didn't deserve to be the largest party and become the government. The size of the swing is only so big because the Conservative party lost 20% of the vote share. The lost 20% of their vote share didn't move to the Labour party.  With only 34% of the share of the vote the Labour government could soon lose the support of the people if things start to become worse on the economic front.

Sheffield can now rejoice as the money keeps rolling on in . After all we are the socialist Republic of South Yorkshire.  Our rewards will be there for all to see

One of my first thoughts.  Sheffield will now thrive under this Government.

As a Labour voter I'm obviously pleased with the  result, but I'm not expecting the new government to be perfect, that would be like expecting a miracle.

Rishi Sunak on his departure described  Keir Starmer as " a decent spirited man, who I respect".

That was a nice thing to say, and I really think he meant it.
