Just watching the news live... didn't take long before making excuses. They've only been in a few hours and already saying 'they inherited a broken bank balance, so it's going to be tough and not quick'

At least let people get p*ssed and celebrate before reality sets in.

Excuse?

Do you want the truth or false promises that never materialise like the Tory system?

I know it gets said every time, and some of us don't like the FPTP, but this is the same as every time... the big parties have all the control. The tories will lick their wounds now, like the Labour did... but three terms of labour and everyone will be sick of them and the tories will be back. This country will never move forward with these 2 parties wanting any change to the system.

Look at Greens and Reform!

Actually LibDems seem to have been lucky in their balance.

On the positive side World equity markets have reached records hights after the Labour victory.  Sterling rose to 1.278  US dollars and rose to 1.180 euros.

Why on day one do they need to tell the truth or make false promises? Accept the win for goodness sake.

btw, they've all been making false promises for the last 4 weeks.

Well considering 34% support Labour, and they've lost the last 3 elections, I think you could blame Labour tears more than Tory ones for sea level increases.

Labour's fortunes can change quickly in these modern times  especially with them only getting 35% share of the vote.  It's not the same as 1997 when Labour last had a big win. The Reform party will be disappointed they didn't get the 13 seats the exit poll predicted.

They were crowing about the 13 seats on t'wireless last night at about 10.30 - that was a bit foolish.
