Our new chancellor as hit the nail on the head , There won’t be a deal of money in the pot to work with .

At least there is some money left, if not a great deal.

When Labour handed it over in 2010 the outgoing chancellor said there was none left

Can we now get back to the important things in life, as we know very little if anything about the goings on in Parliament? The sum total of my economic knowledge is that the more businesses and individuals there are to pay tax, the better off everyone is. We’ve been promised more police officers, well I’ve not seen one on duty officer in S17 for longer than I can recall, so sight of one would be a 100% improvement.

Back to reality, like it or not.

Ok. So you think that your comment was an acceptable  thing to say.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I see no issue with sharing a personal opinion... I see many other posters doing the same, but about different aspects and different people and I don't see them being singled out 🫡

I’m not singling you out. I’m singling your comment out.

I don’t think that it was either pleasant or appropriate.

The country

How will 5 Reform UK MPs be bad for the country?  Reform UK voters helped Labour gain such a big majority.  Starmer can do whatever he likes with such a big majority because he has the power to do so.  If Starmer makes the wrong choices with such power then that will be bad for the country.  Reform UK don't have the power to do anything bad for the country.

Our new chancellor as hit the nail on the head , There won’t be a deal of money in the pot to work with , So who is to blame for that  ? Well the BBC will try and blame Labour no doubt , But the king is in his altogether gang  will listen to such as  Nick Robinson , and we will get another used car sales man like Johnson  back  ,   Plain Talking

Our new chancellor is relying on economic growth in order not to increase taxes or increase borrowing.  She hasn't explained how this growth will happen.  The BBC will only blame Labour if they make mistakes or don't make improvements while they are in power. Labour have a good opportunity to stop the Conservative party getting back into power because they are the Kings now and will only be dethroned if they fail to keep to their pledges.

If the new government want to raise more money, they could start by getting British workers off benefits and back to work instead of relying on foreign workers who send a lot of their money to their families abroad, so it isn't circulating in the economy or raising money for services through V.A.T.
