They're a bit unpopular at the moment but the Russians played a major part in the outcome as well. Almost 80% of German troops who died in combat in WW2 died fighting the Russians.

There were 59 German divisions fighting on the Western Front while 148 divisions were fighting on the Eastern Front. Ukraine were part of the Soviet Union at the time of course.

 

Had that amount of men, machinery and weaponry been available to the Germans to use on the Western Front wir wurden deutsch sprechen.

 

Mind you, we wouldn't have as many potholes!

I agree ref the Russians and also  the contributions from Countries around the World,  God forbid but our next threatcould from Russia, North Korea and China, best put  Captain Manwearing and his Platoon on stand by again. God Bless em.
