£20 Billon black hole?

Where's the money gone?

It certainly hasn't been used to fix public services, improve infrastructure, or improve people's lives... We've had years of Austerity!

And the Conservatives have the audacity to accuse Labour for wasting money, or insisting they account for every penny (-'where's the money coming from?')

(continued)

And for that matter how come Labour didn't know and this came as a surprise? Didn't they have a shadow chancellor? Didn't he/she have access to the financial files?  If not, why not?

Well, the LSE is £1.4->1.6tn smaller, as a result of Brexit, not to mention the staggering number of other needless costs it has brought.

UK debt was skyrocketing even before Covid, or Ukraine, as a result.

You can only hide those sort of losses for so long.

Very weak they will try and throw it back onto Labour , Face it 14 years of conservative . All for the rich  But in the end most off the general public saw the light. Thank  God. .  Am  I right in junior docs £15 per hour. If so  disgusting  , In 1994. I was scaffolding on houses , If I was not on price work which was not often. I got. £10 per hour back then. And that woman Atkins was. Not even talking to the docs  Her family are loaded  .

You lot ???

The Labour party knew about the state of the finances before the general election. Why didn't the Labour party pledge to reverse the NI cuts that Mr Hunt introduced last year during the election campaign?  The truth is the Labour party and Rachel Reeves haven't been honest and now they are playing the blame game which is convenient now parliament is going into recess for the summer.

I am sure they new about the general state of things, but the figures that the government release are not up to date, some times the figures get revised afterwards. So the figures for 2022 would have been freely available, but perhaps not the full figures for 2023.

The latest figures published by the ONS for immigration are for Dec 2023

the 20 billion blck hole is just the start of it.

Do you remember back in 2010 when George Osborne blamed Labour for leaving office with national debt of 64.7% of GDP? Telling everyone "Labour's bankrupted the country, it's all their fault".

Well now the Tories have left office with national debt of 99.5% of GDP.

I hope Rachel Reeves returns the honour to the Tories and wipes the floor with them.
