I think popcorn sales will go through the roof over the next month or so!

I'm think of taking July the 5th off from work.

I really want to laugh at the Tories faces as they are kicked into oblivion by their constituents. The thought of Jeremy *unt's smug face as he loses will be wonderful!

The Conservatives have promised to raise the tax-free pension allowance via a "Triple Lock Plus" if they win the general election.

But with 8 million on the NHS waiting list, pensioners will be paying for private healthcare!

One thing that does seem to have gone under the radar in the UK.

Needing ID to vote is more likely to disenfranchise the  youner voters and poorly paid workers who eg have never had need of a passport.

Meanwhile the rule for ex-pats has been changed, Used to be that once you'd lived  outside the UK for 15 years then no vote in a GE.

Now, any UK national is entitled to a vote in the GE no matter how long they have lived abroad and whether they pay tax in the UK. The number is reckoned to be somewhere around 3 million.

If Mr Rees Mogg loses he will accept the defeat like he lives his life , with good grace and dignity.

A Government spokesperson is on the radio now, saying that the personal allowance freeze won't go ahead for pensioners, but for low earners it will go ahead.

How ridiculous, the Tories anti-workers policy, let's see what Labour do.

The promise will ensure pensioners will not pay tax on their state pension.  Mr Starmer ought to increase the standard income allowance which will benefit both pensioners and young workers.
