The £22 billion includes expenditure choices the incoming Labour government has made.  The Labour government chose to to give big pay rises to junior doctors and train drivers.  The £22 billion figure is disputed and is not a fact.

 . Fully costed and fully funded

Pay rises recommended by the independent pay review bodies.

Which were not agreed by the previous Conservative government.  The current Labour government is being dishonest with the £22 billion figure quoted because that includes choices they have made since they have been in government.

We know that Tories wouldn't respect independent pay review bodies into public sector workers, they will for their own pay though - greedy ****bags

With regard to your broader claims, other bodies like the IFS and the OBR lend weight to what Reeves has said that the financial pressures do “genuinely appear to be greater than could be discerned from the outside”.

I think they have more credibility on these matters than you do. You can't even cover your identity properly

And how much would the strikes have cost the economy had the Government not settled? Probably much more than what people in the public sector wanted anyway.

No idea what you're rambling on about.  Both Jeremy Hunt and Rishi Sunak dispute the £22 billion figure and are angry about it. The £22 million figure is not a fact and what the new Labour government is saying should be treated as a pinch of salt.

Ooh hold the front page, Jeremy and Rishi are angry....

Why because they're in opposition, and that offends their sense of entitlement to be in government 🙄

Do you believe everything Sir Keir Starmer is saying?  Do you really believe giving Junior Doctors and Train drivers huge pay rises well above the rate of inflation will benefit the economy? Do you still believe in Father Christmas?

They are angry because they believe Sir Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves have deceived the electorate and are being dishonest by claims they have made since being elected as the new government.
