The retiring at 80 only applies to Conservative members of the House of Lords.

No not at all.

In reality Parliament should contain a mix of people from different backgrounds for lots of good reasons.

Today I've been thinking about the fallout from the Grenfell Tower inquiry whose report was published yesterday, and how strange it is that some of the newspapers are still choosing  to go with the 'story' of Angela Rayner having a dance.

I mean lets face it: In the same week as the Grenfell inquiry publishes its report, James Cleverly launches his leadership bid celebrating deregulation without any thought whatsoever. And footage has been unearthed from the previous Housing Secretary, Eric Pickles telling the inquiry chair to hurry up his proceedings as he has some very important meetings with some very important people. With people like that as aspirant ruling class, no I don't I suppose it does matter how much money someone has.

Some people without money can have zero empathy for those with little or who are struggling, and people with money are more than capable of walking a mile in someone else's shoes.
