And, with all due respect, you are wrong to make that assumption - he is purely trying to drum up support for his attempt at the Conservative leadership.

Yes agreed.

We have people from all countries and cultures coming to our country for different reasons, having the word 'Welcome' at entry points in different languages is fine - not the Star of David.

I also think (and this would apply to any politician Labour, Tory, Liberal Democrat) that Jenrick doing this really cheapens what is an incredibly serious issue.

Like the issue with the UK coming out of the EHCR, it's got such serious implications for Northern Ireland and the Good Friday Agreement, waving it around like red meat in front of baying dogs trivialises a serious issue.
