Labour voters don’t like talking about Labour on here do they.

I think they've finally realised that their only comebacks - whataboutery and personal attacks - are getting them nowhere.

If the country is in so much of a mess, why are the same civil servants - who REALLY run the country - still in charge?

My OH is a civil servant, she now has a brand new overall boss - Angela Rayner - but the same bad management from the same civil servants underneath her are still in a job and still fouling up the department she works in.

We don't have a system like in America, personnel in the civil service doesn't change with a change in administration.

I think there are / were issues to do with the Home Office which have bedeviled administrations going back decades. Having said that I think by and large the civil service do a good job.

With regards to Hackey's point. I'm more than happy to talk about the reasons why I voted Labour; which is a refreshing change from a while ago when I asked Hackey why he voted Conservative  and he  became extremely uptight and gave monosyllabic answers.

In addition to the above, I don't think that elected officials can sack or hire civil servants, IIRC there is independence between the two.

I never asked why you voted Labour . I asked why Labour voters on here were reticent about talking about Labour.
