How come Taylor Swift can get a police escort but the fifth in line to the Throne can't?

There is no reason why they need crediting with that - they merely used existing laws, or rather the police and courts did.

"Ministers met with senior members of the judiciary for emergency talks on Saturday as the far right clashed with police and counter-protesters in major UK cities and towns."

"Officials at the Ministry of Justice are now understood to be in discussions with the judiciary, police chiefs and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), about magistrates’ courts sitting for 24 hours to deal with a surge of arrests, The Telegraph reported."

At which meeting they decided to use powers already available to the police and courts. No great shakes, Sherlock.

Not at all, I'd rather there wasn't the necessity or need to do so.

Sadly, as a result of your choices, it now must to be.

My choices?  I didn't vote Labour, did you?  We're you one of the gullible, conned by Sir Blair Starmer?

As for Brexit, (your usual default for anything), the first recorded migrants to cross the English Channel in small boats to the UK was on January 31, 2018, some eighteen months after Brexit.  Aren't facts rubbish eh?

And let's face it, it's not the French, Germans, Italians et al who are trying to illegally enter the UK is it?

So go on, explain how Brexit is responsible for the masses from the Middle East, Africa & the Indian sub-continent, paying people smugglers thousands to cross multiple countries to then roll up on the northern coast of France to jump in a little boat?

And don't forget to tell if you voted Labour?

Yep - ministers took the initiative - and the "two tier keir" flak from the tory press,

Good god man, are you ever going to take some responsibility for your own choices?

No wonder your "friends" took the option of bailing while they still could! 🤣

Is there any Brexit related topic you won't jump straight into and highlight you have no idea what you're talking about? 🙄

Brexit happened in 2020, precisely when small boat crossings really took off!

Yours are yes! They're not facts! 🤣

A bit stupid then, to vote to limit the ones you seem to like and make it far far easier for the ones you don't.

First safe country no longer applies, their chances of a successful asylum application in the UK just got a lot, lot better!

Brexit prevents intelligence sharing on ones that are known criminals, for stuff they've done as they pass through Europe. Makes the UK an easier choice for them.

Any incentive for EU member states to stop them just went out the window.

Brexit prevents a joined up approach and effectively creates cracks in the entire process.

I didn't.

Since Brexit is a central cause of what has happened to the Tories, you can take a lot more credit than I for their win too!

Regardless, Labour would have a long, long way to go before they get anywhere near the damage Brexit has already, and continues to bring.

Without doubt then, had it not been for Brexit they'd still be getting it. 🙄

What happened on 31st December 2020, that just happens to coincide with the beginnings of a noticably steep rise in the number of boats arriving? 🙄

Brexit turbocharged small boat crossings.

Well it's not like you to be trying to blame others for things you were more instrumental in creating or making significantly worse than they ever were!

"My choices made everything I'm complaining about now, far worse and much more difficult to deal with"...

...Labour's fault!

Like your imaginary friends, you couldn't make it up! 🤣

Polite question . Why don’t you post on the Brexit thread  ?
