It was being compared more to Blair in the journalist questions this morning. Apparently he did similar (and also had a launch event where he took off his tie, etc).

Yes I seem to recall that Blair had his wallet size card with his pledges on, which is what Starmer has also done.

Not sure that going back to Blair style politics / 'the 3rd way' is the answer, if that's what Starmer is intending to do. 2024 is very different to 1997

His answer to 'are you just another Blair' from one journalist was well answered I thought.

We had seperate threads for each political party and yet all of them had exactly the same arguments from the same people in them over and over and I'd like to try and get away from the usual lazy baiting they constantly contained.

I mean you can probably say that about most threads to be honest, sooner or later it ends up with the same old argument.

It’s much of the same at our time of life, no mortgage, no other debt, no schooling, either party could be in power. I’m pretty certain that my recent visit to the NGH will be much the same next time, no matter who is in control.

On the previous Conservative Party thread, I said that one of the Blackpool MPs was under investigation  for expenses breaches. Findings of investigation are in:
