Could Sheffield get a museum to mark the "Home of Football"?

Recommended Posts

It sounds like a decent idea, but what would go in it? It's got to be something more than just looking at old cracked clodhoppers. Maybe a history walk around inside from before the game became football to the modern game, you know with photos, old and new exhibits and film clips, international matches, what the fans of the eras were like etc. How the railways expanded the game, stuff like that Whatever it is, they'd have to come up with something very atmospheric and engaging otherwise it would probably fall flat like the pop music museum did.

Is Clive Betts involved in this ? As a football fan with a bit of power , he could give this a bit of a push .

I think he is too busy pontificating about how Sheffield Wednesday football club should have the Ukrainian flag on show at Hillsborough to show they care, because obviously if you have flags waving about it means you care more than those that don't.

I'd rather see Richard Caborn involved than Clive Betts
