The make america great again comment always raises the question in my mind as to when WAS america great and what stopped it?

Well considering it's not even Trump's catchphrase, you can easily say things were problematic in the runup to the 1980 election when it was first coined.

The fact mainstream media is now actually showing what a wreck Biden is surprises me. People have been calling his mental health out for a long while but they were called liars or conspiracy theorists 🙄

Now mainstream media is floating the idea he should be replaced.

Better late than never eh?

I believe Biden has been thrown to the wolves by his own party.  It was Biden's team who suggested the debate with Trump.  It's strange an head to be arranged six months before before election day in November.  It was obvious that Trump would come out top in an head to head with Biden.  The only reason that makes sense for there to be an head to head so early is that it gives the democrats time to bring in a replacement for Biden.  Given a choice Trump would rather face Biden than Michelle Obama.

My recollection is that the "mainstream media" that you appear to disparage with so much ease, have been questioning Biden's health almost since the day he became president.

From the article....

There’s virtually no evidence that Biden is in cognitive decline.........

Is the correct answer.

From the article

"The geriatricians evaluating Biden's medical history in 2020 found evidence to suggest he could be a 'superager' — a subgroup of people aged 80 years and older that operate physically and cognitively at a level that is common among those much younger," the piece said. "There is no clinical evidence for cognitive decline in President Biden — despite armchair gerontologists declaring otherwise. It may be tempting to conclude that such evidence does not exist because an extensive battery of diagnostic assessments of cognitive functioning has not been ordered (to our knowledge) by his personal physician, and if done, something significant might be revealed."

That's just two examples. There are many many more.

Am I saying no one questioned his mental capacity?

No. But the narrative of the majority of msm  was he's fit as a fiddle and mentally sharp.

As always I'm happy to be proved wrong. After all, that's how we learn 👍

Yup. I'd agree with all that. 👍

What you see is the just the latest MSM "narrative" (read hoax) imploding,

As I said months ago, the Leftist Media can "turn on a dime:, "in a New York Minute", to try and retain what little credibility they need to be able to sell their corporate advertisers, and dwindling audiences.

Russian Collusion, Russian Dossier, Pee Tapes, Russian Alpha Bank Connections to Trump Tower, Ukraine Winning, "51 Intelligence Official sign letter" dismissing Biden laptop as Russian Disinfo!

Biden floated another claim, this time from  "158 Presidential Historians" that had Trump as worst President, but Dem academics are as easier to find than "51 Former Intelligence Officials", so that fell flat, and wasn't  good move to remind viewers of one of the Big Lies that gave him the last election.

Next up the hoax, that climate change is a more serious threat to humankind, than a nuclear war!

The Democrats will still get their base vote, socialist/marxist turnout in November. So it may well be close.

You can't fight bribing the electorate with "free stuff", with prudent policies.

When Uncle gives the kids free candy, and the mother says no and drags them off to the dentist, who's more popular?

Until they grow up!

Good post that matey.

I agree with every word.

So we are looking pre 1980.
Also, what needs to be defined is what needs to occur to say that america is now great again?
