Saw Ken Dodd once. Started at 19:30, we left the theatre at 01:05 in the morning, with around a 30 minute break. I have always rated his singing as much as his comedy. His version of Matchstick Men and Matchstalk Cats and Dogs would probably be one of my Desert Island Discs.

Never saw Burt Lancaster as an entertainer.

He's had a very under rated singing voice

He tried to adjust  a television areal which didn't end good.

What a comedy way for an 'entertainer' to go though.  Not even a house apparently, just a bungalow.

That tells me you liked Prince ?       I find it hard to understand his appeal,   his songs are tripe if you really listen to them.    Still, each to their own.

Prince was an amazing musician, regardless of whether you liked his music or not. An incredibly talented individual.

Ted Rodgers on the other hand.....321..

Amy Winehouse

Alex Turner

Ian Brown / Stone Roses

Farrokh Bulsara

Prince

You may see a link on YouTube to the 'greatest guitar solo ever', which features Prince playing on While My Guitar Gently Weeps. What a load of bluster, repetition, easy tricks, stage hogging and staged nonsense.
