The pub at the bottom of the hill was the Red Lion, run by the Laws or possibly Lords when I lived there, I don't know if I ever new the name of the shop next to it, but if I did I've forgotten now, the next shop up was the newsagents, Priestly's, then a passage then the Dannets house, they relocated to Nursery drive in the 60's I think, the son or sons kept pigs on an allotment, I think in Treeton. The CO-OP was across the road.
