They shouldn’t. Who decides where the cut off is ?

Hackey is correct (for once)

Reeve’s policy is a sound one, but the cut off point needs looking at.

They should do the same thing with the outdated Child Benefit, which ends up paying for a lot of Interrailing and Skiing.

I’m not sure how you reach that conclusion.

Why do all the righties want to give benefits to millionaires?

I’m sure that Alan Sugar is quite capable of paying his own gas bill.

We all got £400 the other winter on our leccy.

I used mine to pay for some flights to go abroad at Easter. Why did I need that £400?

Same applies.

Why do lefties dislike pensioners so much?

Why the daft generalisations yet again?
I'd consider myself centre left, certainly a pensioner, and have no interest in self loathing.
No I probably shouldn't get a winter fuel allowance, though I think the limits have been set too low.

That would be all pensioners other than those already receiving credits.

Why should all those who have no real need get it?

They're entitled to,  as has been said before,  a lot of rich pensioner's money is in their property.

That's absolutely true; living in a house that has increased in value because of soaring property prices doesn't mean you have a lot of money in the bank.
