Undoubtedly there are some but pensions credits are based on income rather than assets as far as I know.

As for the cut off point someone has to make a decision what is a fair level as applies in many cases including the minimum wage.

Even graduated schemes introduce some thresholds.

Given my circle of very ordinary pensioners not one would qualify under the new rules and whilst no one likes losing a few quid it’s nothing more than the loss of something that is not essential.

Give more to those at the bottom but that is not the oft quoted 10 million pensioners.
