Freeganism is an ideology of limited participation in the conventional economy and minimal consumption of resources, particularly through recovering wasted goods like food.

I totally respect freegans, but I could do it full-time.

I just eaten a Fox's biscuit discarded by someone. I found 3, all still in their wrappers. I have a few hats that I found on the path, who else loves a freebie?

While seeking to lessen your consumption of resources is a noble cause, intentionally doing everything you can to not contribute to the economy or society as a whole is actually quite selfish.

It's all fun and games till someone needs medical aid.  Then do you think they'll hold their hands up and say they don't want it because they don't contribute to society?

Yea I doubt it.

Love freebies.

Most of my house contents are freebies either through work or giveaways.

The amount of decent stuff folks throwaway is scandalous.

Every time I go to the Dump it, I come back back with more than I've taken

I just got home at 2pm, I opened a tin of tuna to make a sandwich.

No bread, but there was a sealed pack of 6 Warburtons breadcakes in the bin.

They were best before 30th July, but no mould, so I had 2, I was starving.

White bread that even mould won't touch, is that what they are selling these days.

Makes you wonder what's in the bread.

Same as an apple that stays white for ages after you have taken a bite.

The ones in my garden start going brown after about 2 minutes!!
