America decides.

How does the voting system in America work?

We vote for Members of Parliament in our constituencies, and the party with the most seats picks the Prime Minister.

But in America you vote for just two.

I think the last two sections about "Presidential General Election" and "Electoral College" are the most relevant.

Good luck Padders! It's some ancient nonsense that means if you live somewhere like Wyoming your vote is worth double compared to someone in LA.

It's something I've tried to understand for ages, especially living there for many years and now having an American partner.

It's akin to trying to explain the rules of cricket to an American.....they think they get it, but  deep down you just know they are being  polite.
