'Ghetto' is an often misused word, but Roma people in some central and Eastern European countries are made to live in ghettos, which is because of racism and is wrong. In Slovakia, they are often excluded from mainstream schools, which means their educational attainment is very low and their prospects are therefore very low. Almost none get to go to university. Ghettoising people will always lead to them behaving differently to the society they are ghettoised from - that doesn't mean it's ok for people to then bring that behaviour with them when they do move into general society - it isn't ok, it's wrong. People are adaptable though, and the Roma people that you and I know who just get on with their lives in an ordinary way, while keeping aspects of their culture, are evidence of that. That's why I challenged you on your comment about a 'group', but I see that you recognise that that wasn't accurate or fair 👍

Group, bunch, crew, lot, who cares what the noun is.

Surely you can see the danger of using 'group' when people are discussing people of a particular ethnicity. Especially in a thread started by someone whose specialism is threads about crimes by non-white people.

Again, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, political or football allegiance is of no consequence.

Just imagine waking up to that mess only to find that now you have to live, shop in it!
****ting on your own doorstep!

I'd get the rioters to help clean up- most are captured on video.

If the government had balls.

Or leave them to live in the conditions they caused- some might feel more 'at home'.

I know, I've never really understood the smashing up your own neighbourhood and setting it on fire.  Bizarre.

Really brought the racists out hasn't it?

Even Nigel Farage, nominal MP for Clacton on Sea, but over in America sliming up to Trump, has seen fit to stick his nose in:

Nigel Farage blasted by 'inflaming' Leeds riots 'with misinformation' (msn.com)

He should concentrate on his own constituents

Clacton has a very high crime rate and is almost solidly white. Farage should look closer to home.
