The_DADDY Posted July 19 Share Posted July 19 LONDON, July 19 (Reuters) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy addressed British government ministers on Friday, a rare appearance by a foreign leader at a cabinet meeting that new Prime Minister Keir Starmer hopes will underline London's support for Kyiv. A day after hosting a forum of European leaders at Blenheim Palace, Starmer pressed on with his bid to raise Britain's role in international affairs by inviting Zelenskiy to address his cabinet of top ministers. The last foreign leader to do so was U.S. President Bill Clinton in 1997, Starmer's office said. Welcomed to the meeting by a standing ovation and applause from British ministers, Zelenskiy renewed his call for Western allies to allow long-range strikes on Russia, saying Britain should try to convince its partners to remove the limits on their use. "Right now we are missing the main answer to this question and that is our long-range capability," Zelenskiy said at the beginning of the meeting in Downing Street. "Please convince the other partners to remove the limits." Is it time we stopped giving this man money for his unwinnable war? He wants to be able to fire long range missiles into Russia so wants Britain to convince NATO members to remove limits!! He's insane!! Russia will win this war and when they are done with Zelenskiy we could be in the firing line.. We need peace talks and we need them now. Do they have the balls to do a Donald Trump, and tell this madman, that if he wants to attack the Russian Motherland, "Go ahead, mate, but we're not going to give you the weapons to do it!" WW1, they tell us was caused by some minor madman from Serbia, who shot some Archduke or other. WW2 was caused by another famous minor madman from Germany! This madman has destroyed his country, the death toll is obscene, and he is willing to do the same to the West! Putin is a problem for another day! Requires sober strategic planning, and an assessment, by adults, of the relative merits of compromise, Detente and co-existence, or all out war! He's filled his pockets to the tune of billions whilst his countrymen are slaughtered then begs us to let him strike Russia thus leading to a wider war?!!!
