FIRETHORN1
Both - but growing up in the 60's, The Beano was deffo my favourite. It was funnier and more subversive than The Dandy. My absolute favourites were The Bash St Kids, Minnie The Minx & Dennis The Menace. All of these characters have been diluted by political correctness and are no longer allowed to be funny. Dennis is no longer allowed to bully wimpy little Walter, Dennis's & Minnie's dads are no longer allowed to give them a smack with the slipper when they are naughty. As for The Bash St Kids....well Fatty can no longer be referred to as being "fat", Plug can no longer be referred to as being "ugly", Smiffy can no longer be onsidered to be a bit "thick".....it's all too right-on and socially-inclusive these days - hence none of it is even remotely funny any more!
