Meanwhile, back on the original thread topic.
Family of kicked man concerned for hurt officers BBC

The family of a man who was kicked in the head by police at Manchester Airport have said they are concerned for any injured officers after a second video emerged.

Footage shared online showed a Greater Manchester Police firearms officer striking a man twice as he lay on the ground at about 20:30 BST on Tuesday.

An additional recording sourced by the Manchester Evening News showed the lead-up in which a fight broke out between two men and officers.

A source representing the family involved said: "If anyone broke the law they should face due process."

On Thursday, their then-solicitor Akhmed Yakoob said Mr Amaaz was kicked in the head by a police officer.

Mr Yakoob is no longer acting for the family, which has instructed a new lawyer.

The family's new representative said Mr Amaaz was "traumatised" and due to have further scans.

Their representative also said the family had "real concern for any police officer injured".

Looks like they sensibly have found a new lawyer.

Roughly translated..

" We are really gutted that the attack on the police was caught on camera as we were hoping we could have got away with punching coppers.  Our original scumbag lawyer told us to shout racism and promised us loads of cash and to pretend we are traumatized even though it's obvious we are criminals because folk don't launch attacks like that on cops on a whim, we are used to violence.

We now understand 99% of the population see us for what we are so to try and calm the waters and to get a shorter sentence for assault we shall pretend to be concerned for the police we attacked and have employed a new lawyer."

Yes, and he will face the consequences.

It's really good seeing what happened before though isn't it, kinda shut many folk up.

Don't you think?👍

Not really as i saw the bit where the police tried to detain them and unfortunately for the police the lads were not going to let the police rough them up whilst detaining them.

Did you not see the bit where they are stood at the parking ticket machine wall and say why are we being detained and the trigger Happy police officer has got his taser out?

Do you not think it was embarrassing for the police officers who were being heavy handed to start with and then got schooled by a 19 year old?

Bingo.

Eventually it comes out, took a while to keep your mask from slipping but there it is.

What we all know about you, how embarrassing.

I bet you love that fact the coppers got attacked don't you.

I find the bit where this scumbag has very publicly stood in front of TV cameras with a flashy lawyer present pretending to be the innocent party (leading to unrest and a mob turning up at a police station) far more deplorable than the kick.

Stephen Nolan has been talking about it on his weekend show,  he seemed very biased towards the police,  saying they didn't know that the bloke - who was comotose,  face down and tasered wouldn't get up and have another go at them - give me a break.   As I said,  there is a rough element in the police and you know what bad apples can do.  (Sarah Everard for example)

Listening to R5L this morning,  Nicky Campbell had some previous callers back in, following the new footage.

Does give a different angle to things.

IMO, despite how the police may have approached these lads, for them to go gung ho and attack 3 coppers is out of order.

The policeman who kicked and stamped on the lad on the floor- should be disciplined, but can also understand his frustration and anger post attacks.  Seeing your colleagues nose broken and others hurt- isn't going to leave you feeling calm.
