Some good ideas though, the torch bearer(s) popping up in places to show off the country's many assets like the Louvre. And I loved the mystical horse galloping up the Seine. Some of the tableaux on the banks were interesting, but not too keen on the 'fashion show'. The light show up the Eifel Tower was great, but IMO the final lighting of the Olympic Torch was a damp squib; liked the idea of the hot air balloon, but not nearly impressive enough. All in all I thought it had a rather creepy feeling, but having said that, it seemed to fit the times we're living in. So, any comments...? Heard lots of people complaining they didn't understand it. My foreign relatives didn't understand our 2012 opening ceremony either, hospital beds, Glastonbury Tor, Accrington Pals, Pearly Kings & Queens, Jarrow March, Chelsea Pensioners.
