We couldn't return them even before Brexit,  with the EU it was 'do as we say' well,  rather than civil war I'd prefer a clampdown on illegal arrivals,  I'm surprised the protestors aren't on the beaches where the boats/dinghies arrive.

Not true, we could, just never really bothered. Now we can't.

The round-up begins.  Following the 2011 riots in London, police were still identifying and arresting people a year after the event.

There is much more evidence available now, far more video was shot and uploaded to the internet.  Anyone involved in the disorder wants to worry when their front door is going to come flying off the hinges.

How many people were coming in boats, pre-Brexit, BTW? 🙄

Coming on boats is a relatively new problem, it works so well that more do it now.

They used to come in lorries and fishing boats. We have loads that come as tourists, but of course if they get away with it, it's not recorded anywhere.

Genuine refugees are welcome as far as I am concerned ,

The situation with the boats usually full of young men is another thing .

This is the thing the nutters see on TV ,

It leads to resentment among certain sections who consider them selves left behind and more importantly ignored day the Government.

So stop the boats is the solution, we have a Navy , turn them back to France a Country where they are already safe ,   No hotels , houses, or any other accommodation needed , no Dr surgery’s swamped by even more people, in other words stop the boats problem solved.

Turning back boats is particularly dodgy legal ground, you risk giving these migrants a slam dunk compensation case.  That's before you consider how much it will annoy the French.

Just fund the immigration service properly, sort these people out swiftly and effectively.  Help those with a genuine case and stick the rest on a plane back home.
