More info:   Sheffield to Implement Traffic Restrictions for Safer School Streets In a move to enhance safety for school children, several streets in Sheffield will be closed to traffic during drop-off and pick-up times. This initiative aims to create safer environments around local schools. Streets Affected The temporary road closures will affect areas surrounding Broomhill Infants, Mundella Primary, Pye Bank Primary, Pipworth Community Primary, and Hunters Bar Infants.

we don't even joke about other women in our house....

 

i'll admit, i was impressed/surprised - i thought she'd opt for a few rest days, but she just kept on trucking!

 

it does strike me as misguided when well-meaning people suggest "the elderley" is a reason not to create better active-travel routes. My Dad (80) has just about stopped driving, but he's in good health, and still walking to the shops - i want him to have *more* places he can get to, not fewer.
