Any idea when the last church….and pub….was built?

The new church replaced a much older, larger one.  I reckon it was built back in the early 1990's.  I'm sure there's a date stone on the church if you can find a photo on the internet. 

But does it count as a new church if it has just replaced the old one?

Eight Foot Way pub (new build) on the junction of Halifax Rd/ Chaucer Rd S5 opened at the end of November 2017.

I'd say yes.  Much smaller footprint & built in a modern style rather than the Gothic building it replaced.

St Vincent Catholic Church in crookes is relatively new

I don't know about Churches, but I would say the last Public House built, would be the Sword Dancer.

I would be inclined to say yes.  It does look nice compared to the original.
