I don't think you understand what a scam is, maybe lay off the gin. 

The scam is the government don't own the land they just claimed it as their own and charge people to use it .
And I do know what a scam is as it's happening everyday by our government .
 No need to be a smart arse I don't even drink it's simply a name.

Car ownership costs a fortune because cars are expensive. Their impact on the world & society around them is expensive.

 

Offsetting pollution from car exhausts - expensive

Giving up land, building costs, etc for parking/car parks - expensive

Road infrastructure - expensive

MOTs to ensure cars are in reasonable state to be on road - expensive

Insurance to cover the high value damage cars do in accidents - expensive

 

I'm not saying car ownership doesn't cost a lot of money, but all those costs are legitimate, and it's only fair that we as car owners pay those costs. A lot of car owners forget that.

Are we talking local government, central government or all combined?!

 

In any case... owning a car does not entitle anyone to be able to park anywhere for free. 🤷‍♂️
