I know, often wonder if their worth owt, same with my coin collection.

But I can't be bothered cus I don't need the money.

I'll pass em down to the Grandkids when I'm gone, if their worth owt they'll only increase in value.

I'm doing the same with my magazine collection .

Along with Cressida, my sister and I were always given the latest Giles book. We were still getting them from ma well into the mid-70s. We didn't always get the jokes but loved the characters.

Ma used to be a Brian Mills rep (remember them?). She'd get people's orders in and always told my sister and I we could pick two annuals each for Christmas. Naturally we couldn't wait till the Xmas catalogue came out! Spent days choosing.

Here's some of the annuals I had. Still got some in the loft. There was a Man From U.N.C.L.E annual, a Tiger one with a massive shark on the front, a TV Comic one with many TV favourites on the cover including Dr Who (William Hartnell) and The Goons, a Hotspur one with soldiers in the Artic on the front cover and a Bleep And Booster one.... There were also Marvel reprints gathered together in Xmas books called Fantastic and Terrific.

My sister was a dullard; Bunty, Beano, Dandy.

I know I let my own kids read mine when they were younger but watched them like a hawk 😀.

Just to clarify Weary,  it was my brother who always bought the Giles annuals for my dad🙂
