Draggletail
I don't experience life as flying by, to me life feels long, not short. How about you?
The_DADDY
It feels like it's flying by to me. Doesn't seem all that long ago I was hanging out with mates, playing football and snooker etc. It was 30 years ago.

I've often wondered about how I experience time passing having read or listened to how other people perceive it. I used to think I was getting 'more bang for my buck' but now I'm not so sure... echo beach
I certainly think that time appears to move slower when you’re a child and seems to speed up as the years progress. Perhaps that’s because as an adult you have responsibilities and you have people and events around you to reinforce how time is moving on. As Sinatra put it in one of his songs, The September of my Years:- ‘One day you turn around and it’s Summer, Next day you turn around and it’s Fall, And the Springs and Winters of a lifetime, Whatever happened to them all? echo.

I noticed years ago that people of a similar age to me experiencing time 'flying by' seemed to experience it 'flying by' faster than I did! I think that it's a 'me' thing! Nice quote there echo. One of Francis Albert’s best. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

Snagglepuss used it a lot on the 1960s Yogi Bear show. Similar to its forerunner ‘Heavens to Betsy’. echo.
