Will MP's cut their expences

Recommended Posts

Our millionaire prime minister is cutting OAP heating allowances, As well as increasing every thing in price that affects the working people that he and his so-called socialists pretend they represent.;

In light of this will they set an example by stopping  their perks , You know the subsided meals , second housing they rent or buy in London , travel , wage rises,    way beyond what others get ,  Free admission to events  (you can often see them smirking away sporting events inc snooker, football and so on ) .

I mean if we work away from home we have to pay our own way , travel lodging etc so why is it free for them  .

  •  will they come out in support of the ordinary working people and stop pocketing the perks ,

A) aren't you retired?

B) any employee who is expected to stump up their own money when away on work business is an idiot.

I don't pay for mine. So not sure where you get the idea MPs are an outlier.

I am sure all the new MP's will be queueing at the door of Farage asking for his advice on how to do so little for so much from so many.

He will tell them that Russia Today appearances paid very little. Better to own your own political party and get  £half million from Arron Banks and use his £4.4m Chelsea home. Even better, receiving £98,000 a month from GB News with Rees-Mogg and Esther McVey.

On further reflection I think this is the biggest load of tripe I have seen on the forum in quite some time.

It's perfectly normal for an employer to pay the expenses of an employee when on work business, not sure why you think otherwise.

The highest earning MP in Parliament is Farage, who has a track record of doing the least work for those he's supposed to represent.

That £30bn black hole in public finances as a result of his "evangelism" is a major contributor to why this allowance must now be means tested.

Disagree.

It goes well beyond simple expenses... This lot are privileged beyond belief.

They are supposed to be doing a job of work, but everything around them speaks of entitlement and advantage. It doesn't happen on anything like the same scale in other countries.

It is because historically  the British  were governed by the aristocratic ruling class born to expect only the best. They still seem to regard themselves as such. Times change for everyone, but not in Parliament apparently....

What do you mean disagree, it's perfectly normal for expenses to be paid, what bit of my post are you disagreeing with?

Have people on here lost the plot, reputable employers pay for employees expenses on work business.
