Most employees will be able to claim back their expenditure (or have it directly paid for) if they are travelling out of normal location, accommodating or even purchasing things for the company for the reasons of company business. It's hardly a great mystery. Most normal people in the working world understand that concept very quickly. I would suggest Cuttsie thinks the whole working world is cash in hand tradesman who obviously cant "claim" anything back, so best taken with a pinch of salt.

Annie Bynnol
Several Governments in the last century encouraged 'expenses' claims as a way of increasing MP's their income without increasing their 'wages' as much. At that time the MP's register of interests and income and expenditure was not as closely scrutinized as they are now. Will it stop MP's working a 36 hour week for the far-right media for a £million a year? Or living in a £4million paid for by a sponsor?
