Thorpist
Lorries on the Woodhead rarely cause tail backs as they have the capacity to travel at the speed limit, volume is the cause of holds up and until decent reliable ,affordable public transport links are put in place not much will change . geared
A lot of the times I've been over either road, you'll see a lorry stuck behind some dithering fool. If this road is beyond your driving ability, please use public transport.

Unfortunately fkwits will always be around, causing traffic issues wherever they happen to be. 1

Seemingly their care for the environment is limited to the very specific areas they care about, and sod the rest.
