Are some kids becoming feral?

Recommended Posts

In the 1930’s ordinary young German kids joined the Hitler youth, some became the most barbaric killers known to man, he knew that to catch them young he had a better chance of totally controlling them. This time there is no Hitler, just a series of politicians of no particular persuasion that couldn’t give a damn.

Perhaps we are magnifying the problem,  there are bad kids but there are more good ones.  Teachers can identify the bad ones and separate them in class,  the sheep mentality starts young.

More is needed to keep kids off the streets, doing no good.

Bad friends,  poor parenting or environment,  is a recipe for disaster.

Leisure places- boxing, training, games etc will help get kids doing something- not enough around.

The Cameron era was all about responsibility, but they didn't do anything to make people responsible.

They brought in the CSA, but that failed, it was just about money. Michael Gove privatised the probation service, that failed.

We need well a funded and working social services, we need a drug and alcohol policy that works.

Minimum pricing of alcohol, is that having any effect? Parents get benefits, many benefits, but are they spent on the children?

I remember well when he brought in the 'Troubled Families Unit' https://www.transformingsociety.co.uk/2020/01/20/why-the-troubled-families-programme-should-trouble-us-all/

I have just looked for a thread about knife crime, nothing recently.

Is being 'feral' a cause of knife crime?

They have gun crime in the USA, a 14 year old just went on a killing spree at his school, he was investigated last year too.

Agree with some of that 👌

Government has always been an easy ride and soft- so perhaps things should be tougher.

You seem to forget that in their (admirable on some points) attempt to 'protect' children, the 'experts' have now allowed the children to dictate what happens, and unfortunately, children do not have the knowledge/experience /mental capacity to understand the effects of their actions.

Good to see the parent fined, not sure where the Father is!

Boy, 12, sentenced for 'feral behaviour' in riot

The boy has been handed a 12-month referral order for taking part in riots in Manchester.

The boy, who cannot be identified because of his age, appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court after his sentencing was postponed because his mother went on holiday to Ibiza.

His mother was also ordered to pay £1,200 compensation and will be subject to a 12-month parental order.
