It was for yet another children's cancer charity that no-one's heard of and one I can't remember the name of. The take I got from it all was the message "Cancer is coming for YOUR kids, give us money or else." Also many of these charity ads are being played at primetime, when the costs have to be outweighing the benefits, especially when you consider that a 30sec ad, per showing, per channel is around £20,000 So if you stuck to weekday primetime & just the terrestrials (ITV 1, 2, & 3. Ch4, Ch5) 1 showing per day is 20,000 x 5 channels (100,000) x 5 days. So half a million a week or 2 million a calendar month. This is ignoring the production costs of the ad itself. That's off-putting and not encouraging.
