Snap. Cold nights in front of a roaring fire, pies, stews, warm rum. Winter is the best season in my opinion
Baron99
They reckon Thurs night / Friday morning we might see the first frost so our heating might after go on for 15 mins while I get dressed to take the dog out around 5am.
horribleblob
I'm currently working through the night (at home) – no heating on and thermostat is reading 17 °. If I start to feel a chill as the night progresses, I'll put on a fleece. I don't like winter.

That's good going if you're managing until then. Our house is detached so usually by mid September it may pop on here and there- then again, I do have thermo set at 20c. The summer has been so hot it will take until November for my house to cool down!

Who's put their heating on or are you butch and brave like me so just wear more layers? I tend to just leave it to the thermostat. Never really touch it. echo beach
Thermostat is set at 18 degrees overnight. The place never drops below that. It’s been showing 21 and above so far but this morning when I came downstairs it was 20 and so I set it to 21 and fired up the oil boiler for the first time. Within 10 minutes it had reached a comfortable 22 and switched itself off. echo.
