ianbrownfan
What are you doing drinking Carling in the rutland arms? Perhaps they're trying to tell you something? i asked for it cos i thought it would be cheap! Evidently I was wrong. I usually have Kronenburg but thought that would be pricey.... think I'll stick with the Springvale!

Sam @ Dearne
Wetherspoons are always cheap if you like those kind of surroundings. I always seek out Sam Smiths pubs as a pint is generally below £2.00 a pint. The Brown Bear is the only one I know of in Sheffield. A bit grubby, but a good honest boozer. At the end of the day you can always vote with your feet. Sam
applejuice
I am a poor student and even I can manage 3 pound a pint. My god, your stupidity! You are moaning because you have to pay 3 quid a pint ? In what is primarily a restaurant with restaurant prices. If you go to a nice place, expect decent prices. You are under the impression, prices should follow you around and adjust accordingly. That's like me going to the ritz and ordering champagne and then complaining that it's expensive... threads like this wind me up... go to wetherspoons i asked for it cos i thought it would be cheap! Evidently I was wrong. I usually have Kronenburg but thought that would be pricey.... I don't get this either, if you're paying 2 quid or w/e for a pint, surely the extra 20p to upgrade from something nasty to something you like is nothing ? muddycoffee
£1.60 for standard lager in the Abbey, probably even cheaper in the Woodseats palace. If you go to expensive places then you expect to pay expensive prices.
