I have a dozen or so photographs taken in 1912 of the 650 or so Employees, men, women & children 

Employed by my Ancestors at this Sheffield Iron Works ....... A few of the pictures below;

Thank you, I don't recognize anyone but I love the photos, and the idea that employers wanted to preserve a record of their staff.

I just thought that somebody might recognise a Grandfather/Grandmother or even a Great Grandfather/Grandmother!

Very interesting Richard.

One or two look a bit like my maternal grandfather but I couldn’t be certain.

Cloth caps, braces and waistcoats were almost mandatory for the male blue collar workers and suits and ties for the office staff.

Moustaches were also in fashion.

It’s people like these who grafted to make Britain Great. We owe them a great deal.
How times change.
