What a regime.    And then they claim to be surprised at the amount of anti-Semitism around them.

They perfectly fit the phrase    "They are their own worst enemies".

Ok, Mr Dimwit, your view of yourself from the Climate Change thread.

What an interesting view of the middle east situation.

You do realise that whilst you are being childish instead of addressing the thread,  everyone else can easily see that you have nothing whatsoever to say.

I agree with your feelings although I can't see where any mob mentality comes into it.

The  so called comedian,  with such a strange view of what is entertainment,  has every right to his own views,  but not to try and instil them into others.

As always happens,  the results of the bloodshed in the middle east will have long lasting effects all over the globe.

Copied from the Labour party thread due to nit picking by another poster.    This was posted by RJRB regarding anti-Semitism which has been rightly referenced in the Labour party thread.

I Quote RJRB:

As spelled out by the moderator some people are apparently incapable of or unwilling to differentiate between criticism of some Israeli actions and the lazy label of “anti Semitism”

What happened on Oct 7th was horrendous perpetrated by Hamas and now we have the horrendous response from the current Israeli right wing government.

Both actions have no respect for humanity.

Quite correct.   Everyone on this forum,  including myself of course has roundly condemned Hamas for the sickening events of Oct 7.

I have made it quite clear in many of my posts that I DO NOT support  ANY   groups of terrorists, whoever they may be.

The killing of innocent civilians,  especially women and children has no place in any civilised group, nation, or race.

International Law was set up to deal with incidents such as this and yet multiple nations or organisations feel it's perfectly right to ignore that law but only when it suits them.

Instead of accusations of hatred,  why does no one explain WHY,   Israel cannot move the women and children to a place of safety before conducting their military operations ?

.....furious at police over arrest threat

More than 200,000 people are estimated to have attended yesterday's rally in central London, with police making a total of 12 arrests.

A gutsy counter-protester assaulted at yesterday’s Pro-Palestine rally in London for staging his own anti-Hamas demonstration has questioned why he was then threatened with arrest and led away from the area.

Iranian national Niyak Ghorbani held up a placard asking whether or not Hamas was a terrorist organisation as protesters in central London walked past. At one point one of them appeared to thrown a punch, and others hurled abuse.

However, he today shared a clip showing him being escorted away by two uniformed officers, one of whom takes his arm at one point.

Defending the action, a Met spokesperson claimed Mr Ghorbani was there to “provoke a reaction from the passing crowd” and therefore the officers were trying to “de-escalate the situation to keep everyone safe”.

Posting on X, formerly Twitter, Mr Ghorbani said: “While following the police's advice to collect placards and move away from the area, this individual violently grabbed my hand and threatened that if I returned there, they would arrest me!

“Is arrest a justifiable threat for speaking the truth?!”

Brave man but did the police do the right thing?

Personally I reckon the police would have had a hard time rounding up all those Hamas supporting thugs so took the easier option and removed the anti hamas protester instead.

Your thoughts?

It could have escalated and he could have been injured - which would have the most effect,  the publicity for making a stand or a podcast,  his own video or a protest on Twitter or something - I believe getting himself arrested made the most impact - someone could have dropped him off a couple of miles away.

Those piece lovers soon react when questioned , seen it happen in Sheffield ,  when the pro Palestine marches first started .

They feel they have to do something,  let them let off steam,  safer that way than challenging them.

I suppose if the police felt he was in danger, it was in his own interests to move him away. It sounds as though he was protesting peacefully which is supposed to be allowed in this country, unless it seems, you're protesting about Islamic terrorists.
