desy
Does anyome remember New Skin, It was brought out to replace plasters. When you had a wound, you cleaned and dried it. Then painted it on, it was something similar to a nail varnish application. I once cut my finger and put it on. After I came down off the ceiling it was ok. Did the job kept it clean until it healed. Although I put it on when I should at least had a stitch in it. It was out in the late 50's early 60's. Think I have just seen something similar now on tv. nanrobbo
Yes there is a new version of New skin- Elastoplast Spray Bandage. At least that's the name here in Oz. I bought one recently, it is quite good and takes ages to wear off.

Jabberwocky
I remember a long time ago a friend of mine slashed open the ball of his thumb, so I added new skin. His screams could be heared for miles, aparrantly the brand I used wasnt for open wounds.

pensionipper
Germoline make a 'new skin' on sale today. Just follow the instructions and your cut or whatever will heal quickly - it's great!
littleboo
Ha ha ha. that stuff was evil, applying that hurt more than the actual cut did in the first place.
Guest teebee
I remember new skin, i also remember when me or my sister had a cut when we were kids, new skin turned my dad into the devil incarnate, i swear put new skin in his hands and you could almost see his horns. Wadsleyite
Boots still sell it, under the Germoline trademark as previously posted. It is particularly useful for grazes, to stop them becoming infected, but it does sting at first.
