shorty558
if it's take away you want, i'd have to say 'Lee's' H used to own the rainbow on white lane but now he's moved to behind the 'Hogs Head' pub at Hackenthorpe. Delicious. I could kill for his peking ribs.
babychickens
how about the one near the deepend in hillboro - think it be called 'mr tse's' or summut. it's the only chinese i've found for ages that the food actually tastes really good - decent ingredients and well cooked. Hummybabe
I like Happy House on City Road, local, realativly cheap, good food and good service. Me and my husband have always ordered from there and we thought they was the best we'd had......until my husband got tucking into his beef curry one day and the meat was still raw we've not had any from there since then, its put us off! Vini
Tried our new local last night 'Jade Garden (S35)' and it was lovely. Huge portions and very cheap. The Prawn Crackers are spot on too.
Scrutineer
Canton King, Middlewood Rd. Just look at the queue on a Saturday teatime!! Great portions and good food. Good staff as well, usually very quick.
okka north
Has to be Wong Tings just off the moor in town...the most authentic chinese i've ever been to! Is that the one where you can't see where the entrance is and can only see the sign (think it's near oxfam)
hagardriley
Definitely the Hong Kong Wok on Abbeydale Road, just about opposite John Bees Autos near the bottom of Woodseats Road. Absolutely magnificent food, and at the most reasonable prices too.
Longcol
For a takeaway delivered to your door I'd recommend the Golden Lee on London Road. Our favourite meal for two costs about £16; Starter - Pin Pun - consists of Prawn Toasts, Spare Ribs, Spring Rolls, Crispy Seaweed and those butterfly shaped thingies. Main Courses - Chicken and cashew nuts in yellow bean sauce (yum) and sweet and sour king prawns - half a dozen each and they're fat and juicy. Egg fried rice, one portion is plenty for two. They throw in a bag of prawn crackers.
Bago
I like Dim Sum on London Rd. I especially like their steamed chives dumplings. Mmm... (However, if they hike up their prices too much, I'm not gonna frequent it as much any more ! Bah.)
