Done the usual SWFC & SUFC but looking at their websites nothing really jumps out to be exciting for Xmas. Any ideas - looking for maybe food, drins and a laugh. Wonder about comedy club! Last year i went to BB's on division street with my workmates, but there was only 5 of us- it was good though, cosy! Prices start from £20 per person and you get admission and racecard, buffet menu, drinks service and a Tote runner to take your bets. Or there are trackside packages which are really cheap. For £8 you get admission, racecard, chicken in a basket, £1 jackpot bet, a free pint or glass of wine etc. I know this because the Marketing Director came into my business a few weeks back and gave me the Christmas 2008 brochure. They're also planning a package whereby you gain admission to Napoleon's casino and their restaurant (supposedly for £1 but I'd contact the ground direct to ask about this). The printed copy will be available from 13/11/08. £14.95 for 3 courses, with coffee and mince pies, and of course crackers and novelties. Andy Watkins Posted November 11, 2008 Share Posted November 11, 2008 Hi I’ve just booked a Christmas meal at Silversmiths Restaurant (in the city centre) – the one that has just had a visit from Gordon Ramsey! I went for a meal there 2 weeks ago with some friends and it was fantastic. We were really impressed by the food and the service and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice night so I’ve just booked our works Christmas do there. Their Christmas Menu looks great there’s a mixture of traditional Christmas dishes like turkey with venison chipolatas and roast belly of pork as well as other less traditional things like pan braised cod and steak and chunky chips – which I am definitely going for Anyways just thought I’d let you know as I don’t think the programmes been out yet so not everyone knows about them yet. Definitely worth checking out. I think they are one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the city centre to be honest and the prices are really reasonable.
