who can you say don't get caught up in the hype for nugent when this eastowood has only come to the forefront of peoples minds because he has scored against man united for a poor side?

East wood has been getting plaudits for well over a year now. Come on Scott, it has not just come about because of the Man united game. It has come about because he has managed to keep scoring even though he is in a poor southend side in struggling in championship

I would prefer to have sharp back or buy will hoskins from rotherham to be honest- united can't give strikers 'a chance' in this league- u buy proven goalscorers.

Nugent is not a proven goalscorer though and you are saying you want him up front with hulse.

Just had a quick look at stats from this season on goal front.

Nugent 4 in 15 games

Eastwood 10 in 19 games

Eastwood looked usefull on that one performance.

Sharp has done well at Scunny but a huge leap to the Premiership,Hoskins I have not seen, again a big step up to our league.

Nugent looks usefull not exceptional.

Duff is a class act but he's having a poor season.

Fact we may need a striker, but without doubt what we really need is A Creative Midfield Player to create chances.

Another Striker Linked With The Blades:

Neil Warnock is preparing a January transfer window swoop for Maltese striker Michael Mifsud of Norwegian side Lillestrom.

The Blades boss received glowing reports having sent representatives to watch the player in action in Sunday's final game of the Norwegian season.

Mifsud has turned down the offer of a new deal with his club and, with the Scandinavian campaign now closed, his agent Mark Taylor is expecting movement imminently.

Taylor said: "Now the season is over, we're hoping for something to happen within the next few weeks."

The 25-year-old has also attracted the interest of Premiership rivals Bolton and Reading.
