tosh13
Well we will have to wait and see,Bromby did have a decent match.I think we would have been better if Geary were in the side,i like him he is quick. But what worries me is playing Jags in defence when we have Lucketti & Jags would have been better in midfield as that is where he got his award last season for being the best midfielder of the season.Bullard cost £2m we should have gone for him,we are a bigger club than Fulham & we have to compete in the transfer market or we are going to be in trouble,it is no good saying we will have to sell the stand to buy a player,we are in the top flight on merit & we should be doing everything to stay there,I do not mean spend silly money, but with all the extra revenue from Sky ,BBC &ITV we should be able to pay decent wages for the like's of Gravesen & Huckerby,Nugent etc:.We need some bite in the midfield & to me Gravesen would fit that bill well.ok he is said to be on £60.000 per week, but even he know's he will not get that froma premiere league now because of his age, although Celtic are looking at him & have stated he will have to lower his wage demands. Robbie Loving
newcastle are also in for graveson if reports are to be believed. and if he drops his wage demands everton would also be intereted. bullard..... we have to face it, fulham are an established prem club, we most certainly are not, so it is going to be hard for us to compete with anyone until we manage to stay in the top flight for a minimum of one season. tosh13
Sunderland News: Contrary to previous expectations Brian Kidd will not be joining as Keane's assistant, with that particular responsibility now falling to Leicester City coach and former international team-mate Tony Loughlan Well that leaves the door open for Warnock to sign Kidd up as 1st team coach, his experience would do us a power of good, let's keep fingers crossed on this one. DavidRa
I'm sorry Tosh, but I just cannot abide bad grammar. "Fans" does not require an apostophe - it's plural. Same goes for "ones" and "things". And is it intended that you always spell "premier" as "premiere"? If you abide bad grammar why live in Sheffield? You cannot mean it otherwise, you would have topped yourself by now. duffman
i doubt very much that we will get nugent as he has stated he desn't want to come to us but if it does happen i'll be well happy with that. getting rid of ade as well, woohoo Hulse also stated he was happy at l**ds and willing to get them back in the Prem'.....money talks and he is here now, could happen with Nugent especially if there is a player plus cash deal involved. One space after a comma; two after a full stop. <fx: agrees Nugent would be a great signing if we could get him, and then gets United coat and runs>

tosh13
Neil Warnock has revealed that he hopes to make three signings before Thursday's transfer deadline - but is not prepared to let any of his squad leave. Weekend reports linked the Blades with a £4million swoop for Preston striker David Nugent, with claims that Ade Akinbiyi could move in the opposite direction as part of the deal. Colchester defender Greg Halford has also been mooted as a target for Warnock, who told the Sheffield Star: "Ideally I'd like to bring in two or possibly even three. But I'm not confident because I never am until the deal is done. "We'll try to bring in people but I'm not interested in letting any go. "I'd prefer to keep the ones we have because everyone has a part to play and they're here for a reason."

I don't know why, but it really winds me up!! In future I'll just let the stupid people be stupid. Back to United... crap performance on Saturday, never looked like scoring. First trip to Craven Cottage, nice little ground - a lot better than going to the new ones. Good day out, but a disappointing result.
