It's no good trying to hang on until Christmas and then try to strengthen the squad it will be too late then. From what I've seen We're going straight back down then the fan base will become disallusioned again with a team like our neighbours. tosh13 Posted September 17, 2006 Share Posted September 17, 2006 Most of the team were poor first half,but the 3 worse players on the pitch were Iffil,Unsworth too slow & Akyinbyi , they are simply not good enough & as for Jags him playing in defence for 4 matches has not done him any favours,when Quinn & Gillespie came on the team seemed better.I do not understand why Li Tie has not been given a chance & putting Nade on with 6 minutes to go is poor judgement, we needed a change up front in the last 20 minutes as Akyinbyi apart from the Hulse flick on was bad.To play great in the first match & against Blackburn & then fall apart against Reading who I might add have 1st & 2nd division players in there side,but Coppell knows how to get them playing.£80.000 for Doyle & how much did we pay for Iffil & Akyinbyi it is poor.We will get slaughtered next week if we play like that at Arsenal, we need another Liverpool performance next saurday .But no need to panic yet it is only 5 matches into the season. They seem more worried about how the Blades are doing nowadays Tosh. Floridablade Posted September 17, 2006 Share Posted September 17, 2006 It's no good burrying heads in the sand, Arsenal have had a bad start but we all know they will recover but there just isn't the talent at this level at the Lane particularly in the Management, 18 seconds, it's the time it takes to trot down to the goal. It reminds me of the Man.U. match when Best ripped the " defence " apart the last time the Blades tried the top division with mediocre players.
