Floridablade
That is an uncalled for remark Floridablade calling us small town hicks,if you come from sheffield you don't make such stupid remarks. Small town hicks is what Sheffielders are now with the history of that great city. Whare is the big sign telling the visiting world it's the " HOME OF FOOTBALL" where is the publicity worldwide about the steel industry and most of all where is the Barcelona or the Juventus, the Arsenal or the Man.U. None existant, all there is is a struggling Premier side and a struggling Championship side and that's only recent. You Sheffielders now think small because you are small. You accept second best when Warnock would have been given the boot 2 years ago by a bigger town.

I do not know if you were a Blade in the early 70s when he called that side mediocre, players like Currie ,Woodward and the late Gilbert Reece. Floridablade
Warnock looks for excuses all the time usually the referees or linesmen, they're the reson his team lost. It's like making excuses for your kids bad behaviour the kids and the players no need to do well when the boss is going along with it. Dooley and Warnock have been in football long enough to know what is required.

Sheffield should have a side like that all the time not just once in a blue moon just like Manchester or Liverpool or Newcastle and now villages in Lancashire have overtaken Sheffield. I've been a Blade since the late 30s and it's been a hard life supporting a team which simply has very little ambition except to make a few bob for the people financialy involved. No the talk was of over 20,000 season tickets being sold. And you dont really have to make anything of it. You really should be worried about your own team and how the attendances are dipping slighty in S6. Now off you pop to the wednesd*y thread if you can find it, Theres a good lad UTB
