canadablade
I do not know if you were a Blade in the early 70s when he called that side mediocre, players like Currie ,Woodward and the late Gilbert Reece. That team was and always will be the BEST ever side to play in red and white stripes, those days will never be recaptured. You forget to mention a few more GREAT Players David, like Colquhoun,Dearden,Tudor, Badger, Hemsley Regards CB
brooksy
No the talk was of over 20,000 season tickets being sold. And you dont really have to make anything of it. You really should be worried about your own team and how the attendances are dipping slighty in S6. Now off you pop to the wednesd*y thread if you can find it, Theres a good lad UTB Oh dear, the season taking its toll already is it. :hihi: .Has for our gates canada dry were NEAR the bottom of the league so not bad really for a very average team.By the way good luck at arsenal:thumbsup:
DavidRa
That team was and always will be the BEST ever side to play in red and white stripes, those days will never be recaptured. You forget to mention a few more GREAT Players David, like Colquhoun,Dearden,Tudor, Badger, Hemsley Regards CB Yes Ted Hemsley lives in Dronfield and was also a good cricketer,I remember Eddie Cthe scot,Billy Deardon,John Tudor and of course the great local lad Len Badger,John Harris the manager was a quiet reserved guy, but a great talent spotter, the exact opposite of our present manager who may be a decent manager and motivator but his he a quiet reserved guy? If he could spot talent as John Harris did we would survive this season, instead of being odds on for relegation,Warnock wasted millions bringing in players towards the end of last season Horsefield, Ake who gives everything but is not a player to play next to another striker,Lucketti where has he gone ,if you consider that they are paid decent money and also Short who is being paid and is always injured, Warnock said he can play in the premiership with a cigarette in his mouth what nonsense, Short was a decent player and has class but Warnock as he does spoke without engaging his brain, the reason Reading scored early was Unsworth & Morgan were done for pace Unsworth is a squad player to use in a emergency ,and Short at his age is worse than Morgan who apart from Saturday as played well

chrisj
Just a quick one for the sufc fans. When the season started the talk was of all utds home games being sold out. There wasnt a full house saturday and im not quite sure what to make of it. 28,288 isn't too bad an attendance for a low profile game, especially seeing as its the second home game in a row.
